The classmate of Archie Klatos has committed suicide hours, before questioning.
It was a day of triumph, or so we believed.
Just mere hours before he was scheduled for follow-up questioning, regarding his connection to the disappearance of his classmate Archie Klatos, Thomas Michaels has been found dead by Chagrin Falls police deputy Howard Fields and his team.
"In the final hours of last night, Michaels killed himself," stated Fields. "It was clear there was some knowledge he didn't want us to know. Clearly he succeeded, because now whatever insight he might have offered pertaining to Archie Klatos disappearance has been lost with him."
Despite this, Fields is still reluctant to give up his discredited notion that Klatos disappearance was a suicide. "I don't necessarily see evidence fit to confirm Archie Klatos was killed by Thomas Michaels; whatever might have proved that died with him. I do see evidence which suggests they might have formed a botched suicide pact of some sort. The river is linked to Klatos, the gun is linked to the river, and Michaels is linked to the gun."
“It was clear there was some knowledge he didn't want us to know. Clearly he succeeded,”
If it was a suicide pact, one would have to question Fields belief that Michaels was hiding something. Wouldn't that mean Klatos is also hiding something?
Perhaps Klatos did share this forbidden knowledge. But did he share it because he helped Michaels to hide it, or is Klatos' possessing this knowledge the very reason Michaels killed him? Might Klatos have implicated his classmate in something that Michaels was also eager to hide from the police?
Such as involvement in a criminal conspiracy
If Michaels is Klatos' assailant, where did he acquire the necessary knowledge to successfully capture and hide a boy his age? Where did he acquire the knowledge to operate a combat designed handgun?
There are such criminal operations active in Ohio which could provide an insightful education into both; human trafficking is at historical highs in the state, and the Northeastern region was certainly no exception. Is the revelation from this perhaps that the operation has expanded its reach, recruiting even younger than previously thought possible? Who else might have been victims to Michaels if he was involved in such an operation?
Whatever crime he committed, he has gotten away with it; and justice has been evaded once again.
